Joseph Conners, trumpet
Joseph Conners, a native of North Carolina, moved to Cleveland in 2004 to study trumpet with Michael Sachs at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He has performed in Carnegie Hall twice in his career, both as a member of the National Wind Ensemble conducted by H. Robert Reynolds, and as principle trumpet of the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra. In 2003 he was awarded a position at Boston University Tanglewood Institute’s Young Artists’ Orchestra for which received a scholarship from Symphony Guild of Charlotte. More recently Mr. Conners was awarded a full scholarship to attend the 2007 National Orchestral Institute. Mr. Conners performs in solo and group engagements in the Cleveland area and is a member of the Bethany Brass Quintet.
