Alan Keller, trombone
Trombonist Alan Keller, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, is currently studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Richard Stout. Before transferring to the Cleveland Institute of Music, Alan attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music where he studied with David Vining and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra members Lee Rogers and Cristian Ganicenco.
Since May 2005, Alan has held the position of Principal Trombonist with the Richmond, Indiana Symphony Orchestra, and is an active freelance musician in both the Cleveland and Greater Cincinnati areas. Alan frequently performs with the Canton and Mansfield Symphonies, along with chamber ensembles such as Red (An Orchestra), the Trinity Chamber Orchestra, the Ashtabula Choral Society, and Opera of the Western Reserve.
Alan has been a member of the New World Symphony substitute musician list since the 2005-2006 season, and subsequently earned the position of substitute musician with the Springfield, Ohio Symphony Orchestra for the 2007-2008 season. An aspiring orchestral musician, Alan also enjoys and performs brass chamber music such as brass quintet, quartet, trio and even solo performances.
